What I do, when I don’t want to do, what I should.
When I don’t want to do the things that I should be doing, (for example; writing a short paper on the use of sexual metaphor in the mystic descriptions of divine encounters) I like to play with my camera/ photos.
I think the best thing about this picture is the white sky. You can’t really tell if it is overcast because there are no formed clouds, but the sky is still not blue

This next picture has to be one of my favourites so far!

This is a statue at uni that was made in the 1950s. I think I like it because it seems… self conscious?
Day in the Park

The weather here has been amazing lately.
I took some photos in the park the other day.
These were the best.

The eels there are very used to people. They follow you as you walk around the lake, hoping that you will feed them!

obsessed with red.

I found my new red lipstick again. JOY! Now I get to go photo crazy.

Tried to be productive today. Ended up watching too much tv, playing with my make up, not doing enough work. It’s now 7:30pm and I HAVE to do an assignment for Uni tomorrow. It’s for the religion subject : Sex, Desire and the Sacred, at least it won’t be boring!
I’m very happy lately because my boyfriend got me a copy of the Hindu poem the ‘Bhagavad Gita.’ It is the longest poem in existence and is a story about the god Krisna talking to a soldier Arjuna about a battle about to take place.
Been listening to Washington lately. She is a brilliant aussie artist, as well as some Lucksmiths, Florence and the Machine and much Angus and Julia Stone.
It is much easier to listen to music and read poetry than to do my homework
What a Whaler…
Took my boyfriend whale watching for his birthday. Took some great pictures.

Even though it is still winter here, it got up to about 28 degrees Celsius.

It was a beautiful day.

Elinkan

She dyed her hair. Looks rad. This is merely relevant because I think she is cool and I just dyed my hair red too.
Ski Bunny

Just got back from snowboarding in Thredbo.

It was brilliant. I had so many opportunities to take great pictures.

This next one is my favourite.

I also like that i got to dress up snow bunny style. However, with all the layers and snowboarding for hours, plus swear. Not so sexy.
But just to prove that I did learn something in my 3 days. Here’s some proof!

I totes recommend snowboarding. If you can balance on a bike, you should be fine. Also helps to have someone who’s been doing it for over a decade, helping you.
I’ll be back on in a few days, I going back to Sydney tomorrow.
a new picture

On my way to coffee yesterday.
Very please with my new red lipstick.
However, have to dash now. I am working for my Dad today to earn money for a hair cut.
Sorting through files- oh what fun.
vermicelli

Went to an awesome gig on the weekend in Melbourne at the Fad Bar Gallery.
It was called Kool Aid, my friend Tom ran it. It’s going to happen monthly so if you’re a Melbournite, check out-

There should be some great photos of that for me to blog when my friend Fuzz comes back from Sydney.
I had a dream last night that I wore a skirt made out of uncooked vermicelli noodles.
Thinking about the logistics of that today.
I really don’t think it’s possible.
Taking the old singer down the sewing shop today to see if I can get it to work.
Also got my first set of minolta pics developed onto a CD. They were all crap. I guess I need more practice.
Started twittering again today. I don’t think this fad will last- http://twitter.com/becam2289
P.s music wise, these kids have some new songs up- http://www.myspace.com/radioshocktherapy
and check out http://www.myspace.com/savinggracesyd

Going to go out, maybe take some pictures to show you later.
Birthday things…
I did get some lovely things for my birthday.
- Minolta Hi-Matic 9
- scarf
- Little Birdy’s latest album ‘Confetti’ (4/5 stars)
- money from g’ma, with which I bought new shoes
- a lovely dinner, paid for by my dad at Sugarcane Resturant, Surry Hills, Sydney.
(very lovely- http://yourrestaurants.com.au/guide/?action=venue&venue_url=sugarcane) - cards galore

The only downer of the day came when the man who lives below me came upstairs and knocked on my door to report that, after showering, the entire water content of my shower had come through his roof and into his apartment, thus ruining his computer and floorboards. Hence boyfriend and I had to wait around for the plumber all day rather than going shopping and buying myself birthday things. We did have a delicious lunch at Cafe Otto in Glebe (http://www.cafeotto.com.au/).
.
But all in all it was a wonderful day.
.
I can’t believe this face is 20.

peek-a-boo
I had nearly given up on blogging.
Who would want to listen to what I have to say?
But I decided not too.
It’s fun and gives me and excuse to mindlessly chatter on to the online world about my life.
I took photos today in-between writing ‘thank you’ letters (at my father’s request) to those who attended my grandfathers funeral.
I played with my pup.
.

.
He is very much fun.
