This is the first day of my life…

This is much more dramatic sounding than it actually was.

My boyfriend has a fish.

It’s name is Sheldon, named after our favourite waiter at a local cafe.

He is a fighting fish, tropical and likes to be warm.

Sheldon was getting very cold, like the rest of us.

Where i live it has been getting down to 2.7 degrees Celsius during the day.

Sheldon’s heater stopped working.

My boyfriend and his flatmates decided, oh well, its just a fish.

But can’t think like that.

I,(quite dramatically), scooped Sheldon out of his massive tank into a small vase.

Wrapped the vase up with a woolen scarf

Put it on the floor next to the heater.

It wasn’t looking good.

Sheldon wasn’t breathing much and he was lying on his side.

The odds were against us.

But I could not give up on him.

I don’t like to sit and watch things die, slowly.

Warmer, warmer, warmer.

And then, all o sudden. Sheldon started to swim, and wiggle, and get up off of his side, and even eat.

So I guess I saved him. I dont think my boyfriend deserves a fish.
