Do YOU believe it is easier to study religion from the point of view of:

  1. one who is religious (hence can understand the importance of faith in ones life but may however be bias)
  2. from the point of view of someone who is not religious (hence has not really had a religious experience but is not bias between one religion or another)

?????????????????????????????????

  1. At first I thought it would be easier for no. 2, because no. 1 may be biased by their own beliefs and find it difficult to study something that may be different from their own understandings. But, then I viewed it from my perspective as an atheist (of sorts), and realised I find it difficult to study religion because I don’t have a background understanding of how religion works & the basis of their beliefs (religious stories etc.)..

Not sure if that makes sense, as I’ve only just welcomed the day in through my window. Hope it helps, Bec.
