Question for you…
Do YOU believe it is easier to study religion from the point of view of:
- one who is religious (hence can understand the importance of faith in ones life but may however be bias)
- from the point of view of someone who is not religious (hence has not really had a religious experience but is not bias between one religion or another)

At first I thought it would be easier for no. 2, because no. 1 may be biased by their own beliefs and find it difficult to study something that may be different from their own understandings. But, then I viewed it from my perspective as an atheist (of sorts), and realised I find it difficult to study religion because I don’t have a background understanding of how religion works & the basis of their beliefs (religious stories etc.)..
Not sure if that makes sense, as I’ve only just welcomed the day in through my window. Hope it helps, Bec.
