I really don’t like this..

I, like anyone, understand the importance of encouraging safe sex to prevent AIDS and other infectious diseases.

However, I think this ad goes to far. Not only is it

terrifying, disturbing and far to explicit for an ad campaign- it’s offensive. Almost Hitler-ising the unfortunate many who

have contracted the AIDS virus. What do you think?

i got a job

I just got a new job and have done nearly 45 hours this week.

I will get back to you soon with more things and things and things.

Right now it is sleep time.

Question for you…

Do YOU believe it is easier to study religion from the point of view of:

1. one who is religious (hence can understand the importance of faith in ones life but may however be bias)
2. from the point of view of someone who is not religious (hence has not really had a religious experience but is not bias between one religion or another)

Something about..

There’s somethin about boys shirts that I love. I don’t know why. I think they are sexy on girls.

Today is going to be a big day. Uni from 9am-4pm and I will will myself to go the entire day. I have too.

What I do, when I don’t want to do, what I should.

When I don’t want to do the things that I should be doing, (for example; writing a short paper on the use of sexual metaphor in the mystic descriptions of divine encounters) I like to play with my camera/ photos.

I think the best thing about this picture is the white sky. You can’t really tell if it is overcast because there are no formed clouds, but the sky is still not blue

This next picture has to be one of my favourites so far!

This is a statue at uni that was made in the 1950s. I think I like it because it seems… self conscious?

Day in the Park

The weather here has been amazing lately.

I took some photos in the park the other day.

These were the best.

The eels there are very used to people. They follow you as you walk around the lake, hoping that you will feed them!

Bhagavad Gita

The Bhagavad Gita is a scriptural poem from the greater Mahabrhata text, which in turn is from the Hindu Upanishads, which come from the ancient Vedic text. A monk came up to my boyfriend while he was waiting for me to finish work (at the Newtown Cafe). Anyway, he originally was trying to talk to my boyfriend about becoming a monk. However, when my BF told him he had a girlfriend the monk admitted that it might make things harder. Anyway, my BF gave the monk a donation and the monk gave my BF a copy of the Gita, which I had been looking for, for a long time! As he left the monk told my boyfriend not to have too many babies.

I don’t really know why?

So, anyhoo, I was very happy when (after a long day, frustrated buses and an almost asthma attack) I got a very happy surprise present!

I found my new red lipstick again. JOY! Now I get to go photo crazy.

Tried to be productive today. Ended up watching too much tv, playing with my make up, not doing enough work. It’s now 7:30pm and I HAVE to do an assignment for Uni tomorrow. It’s for the religion subject : Sex, Desire and the Sacred, at least it won’t be boring!

I’m very happy lately because my boyfriend got me a copy of the Hindu poem the ‘Bhagavad Gita.’ It is the longest poem in existence and is a story about the god Krisna talking to a soldier Arjuna about a battle about to take place.

Been listening to Washington lately. She is a brilliant aussie artist, as well as some Lucksmiths, Florence and the Machine and much Angus and Julia Stone.

It is much easier to listen to music and read poetry than to do my homework

What a Whaler…

Took my boyfriend whale watching for his birthday. Took some great pictures.

Even though it is still winter here, it got up to about 28 degrees Celsius.
